Alright for those that have read my getting by on less sleep experiment here is the recording that I will be using to listen to each day:
I start this recording off in the higher Theta range at 7.9Hz, and then I slowly lower it to 4Hz in the first ten minutes. Then after that It stays at 4Hz for the rest of the recording.
The voices in the background is a live recording of monks performing their morning prayer. I used this for a few reasons. I am going to be listening to this recording in the morning and I am going to be getting less sleep than my body is normally used to. I figured that chances are I would fall asleep trying to meditate to this recording that early in the morning. There are a lot of distractions going on in this binaural beat recording. You can hear people talking, coughing, chatting amongst themselves, and generally making a lot of noise. I figured that these distractions will make it harder for me to fall asleep. Also it is a prayer performed each morning to remind us to be thankful and so I always remember to show more gratitude every time I listen to the recording.
I also used the repeated spiral visuals to keep my mind awake. Whenever I am watching one of my videos that have a consistent wave or motion I tend to get more hypnotized by it. With this visual spiral that I use it’s more difficult to get in a trance because it keeps stopping and going.
I hope you guys enjoy it and I will let you know how the experiment goes.
